Welcome to Stephens-Son Electric. These terms explain the rules for using our website, stephens-sonelectric.com, and the general terms that apply when you request or book our services. By using this website or booking with us, you agree to these terms. In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Stephens-Son Electric.

1. About Us

Stephens-Son Electric is a veteran-owned residential electrical contractor serving Prescott, Prescott Valley, and the surrounding areas of Yavapai County. We are Licensed, Bonded & Insured, AZ ROC# 368110.

2. Website Information

We work hard to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but it is provided for general information only. Our blog articles and tips are not a substitute for an on-site evaluation by a qualified electrician. Electrical work can be dangerous; if you’re unsure about an electrical problem, please contact a licensed professional.

Prices, discounts, introductory rates, and other offers shown on the website may change at any time. The price for your job is the one on your written estimate or quote.

3. Requesting and Booking Service

You can request service through our contact form, our Booking page (powered by Calendly), or by calling or texting 928.374.9692.
An appointment is confirmed once we confirm it with you. We aim to confirm appointments within 2 business hours. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Please give us accurate contact information and a clear description of the problem or project. Photos are welcome; by uploading or sending photos, you confirm that you have the right to share them with us, and we’ll use them only to evaluate your request.

4. Diagnostic Fee

A diagnostic / service call fee applies to most service visits.
The diagnostic fee is waived when the recommended service work is accepted and completed.
The diagnostic fee is non-refundable once the technician has arrived and begun evaluating the issue.

5. Estimates and Quotes

Written estimates are provided for larger or more complex jobs, and estimates for upgrades and replacements are complimentary.
Estimates are valid for the time period stated on the quote.
We discuss costs with you before work begins, and no work beyond the approved scope will be performed without your authorization.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice at no charge.
Late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) or no-shows may be subject to the standard service call fee.

7. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the agreed-upon work.
Once electrical work has been completed and accepted, it is generally non-refundable. If a concern comes up after the work is finished, please contact us so we can address it under our workmanship warranty.

8. Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind our residential electrical repairs and installations with a 1-year workmanship warranty. If a covered issue related to our workmanship occurs within one year of completion, we will return and make it right at no additional labor cost.

This warranty does not cover:

Damage caused by misuse or unauthorized changes
Normal wear and tear
Acts of nature
Pre-existing electrical issues unrelated to our work
Materials or equipment (these are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty)

9. Handyman Services

We offer small, minor, and basic handyman services (such as furniture assembly and TV mounting) as a courtesy to our customers. These are priced as a flat-rate quote based on the scope of the job. Handyman services are limited to qualifying work under Arizona’s minor-work exemption and are not performed under our electrical contractor license.

10. Our Website Content

The text, photos, logo, and other content on this website belong to Stephens-Son Electric or are used with permission. You’re welcome to view, print, and share our pages for personal use, but please don’t copy or reuse our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

11. Other Websites

Our website links to and uses services run by other companies, such as Calendly for booking and Google Maps, Facebook, and Instagram. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content or how they operate. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

12. Website Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

This website and its materials are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Stephens-Son Electric is not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this website or its materials. This section applies to the website only. It does not limit the workmanship warranty described above or any rights you have under the law for work we perform.
